Well here I am I think. I have tried several times to throw something up here but I have yet to see them. I am hoping to possibly add a male perspective on the subject at hand. I was virtually on the inside tract in the beginning when the ladies first showed up on the grounds of Cape May. I began my journey on January 7, 1974 in "Romeo 89" with BMC John Miller. I graduated on March 15th and was assigned to permanent party, Forming Company. Two weeks into recruit training, the first females showed up, our sister company, literally. At first we were told to not even look t them. Not to much later, those of us that didn't smoke, learned how real quick so we could go out on smoke breaks together. Some us developed short lived relationships. I spent my graduation weekend in Cape May with a lady from that company who were on there first weekend liberty instead of going home on leave. I missed my mother's birthday and still here about that to this day. It was after being assigned to Forming Company that I would drive the big, grey Checker limo, picking new arrivals up from the bus station, ferry, and the airport. To begin with, ladies were formed up into thier own companies, but things changed and went co-ed. I played in Cape May for two years before going to ASM "A" School and spent the rest of career in the air.

It seems some may be having trouble commenting on the blog. The first step is to get a Gmail account. Go to www.gmail.com and open an account, its free. After you have chosen a name and password go to the blog and post a comment using the name and password you chose to set up your Gmail account.
Piece of cake.
Now to complicate matters even more. I've opened up the blog so that all of you can post to the blog and allow the rest of us to comment on your post.
Isn't this just to much fun? Have a great day everyone.

Welcome Aboard
Thanks to Candy Adams, who found me about a year or so ago on Fred's Place, I've been reunited with a few of the great people I had the honor and pleasure of sharing a short part of my life. Fortunately for me and a few others Candy's relentless search for old acquaintances is paying off. I believe there are now 8 of us emailing regularly as a group. Together, with this group of fabulous people the decision to launch this blog was made. Hopefully, we'll continue to share many more of our life experiences with each other, to be saved for posterity.
Here's hoping we find many others that have been in our hearts and minds over the past 30+ years.
